Man Alarmed as His Cognitive Skills Decay After Outsourcing Them to AI →
It’s a rather alarming article, at least for me who are always relied on technology, or in this case an AI, for knowledge search, learn something, or even making a decision about what to do next.
This paragraph tells the story.
These are examples of a broader phenomenon that psychologists call cognitive offloading — when we outsource the burden of performing mental tasks to external tools, like an AI model. Cognitive offloading can be helpful, disencumbering our brains of having to perform tedious work so we can focus on more fulfilling pursuits, or harder brain tasks that deserve more attention. But you can get too much of a good thing.
As we relied heavily on AI, some people call it “second brain” or “third brain”, but what happen is, we make our brain lazy, we don’t need to remember anything, we just need to ask the AI.
Hell, even this editor, i plugged in an AI agent for codes and stuff, and it’s still gave me a suggestion on how to write this article, see image below.

How easy was that? if i keep doing this, i’ll be a lazy man, i won’t use my brain how to tailor a sentence, or how to write a paragraph, or even how to write a sentence.
Just need a bit mindful and keep use our brain as long as we can.

Conference Industrial Complex →
This is amazing post by Leigh McKiernon, this is exactly what’s happening in Indonesia, I have attended quite a lot of conference last year, mostly tech related, from Digital Summit something, security trend, and yes, Unlocking something.
Every month, Jakarta’s luxury hotels transform into theaters of corporate pageantry, hosting yet another “groundbreaking, future-shaping” event. The theme? Some version of “Unlocking Indonesia’s Potential”—as if the country is a locked treasure chest that just needs the right combination of PowerPoint slides to open.
And these lines are the kicker.
If you’ve attended more than one Indonesian business conference, you’ve probably experienced an eerie sense of déjà vu. Same hotel ballroom. Same buffet. Same talking points. And, most importantly, the same speakers.
Welcome to the elite world of Indonesia’s Panel Mafia—an exclusive club where the main qualification isn’t execution, but sheer endurance in repeating the same buzzwords for years without consequence. These people don’t just attend conferences; they orbit them like celestial bodies, forever circling but never landing.
Many probably had a conference fatigue, not to mention tired chased by account managers, sales person, etc, since our credentials were shared to the sponsors, they have time to ask your time.

Life Oh Life
Life is like a frequency, it has ups and down, sometime its down, sometimes deep, even too deep, and come back up, slow, fast, it keeps the balance, life will not just straight line all the way, it will have many things, the good, the bad, the great, the worst, it’s all there.
Things will balance itself eventually, the thing that we thought is a big deal today, could be just a flick of an eye in the future, the lose, the achievement might put a dent in your life.
The thing the we cannot control, we can only sit and watch, see what’s life gonna give us, and embrace it.
We can’t change from where we are, but surely we can change where we are going.
